there is nothing in the design of the 350 that resembles the 240 at all. two seats, front NA engine, rear drive, hatchback, if that is following the design of the 240Z, then it is following the design of about 1000 other cars too. Now the spirit or philosophy (IOW: intention) of the 240Z (2seats, front NA engine, rwd, hatchback, fun and easy to drive) is certainly reverted to in the Z33, as opposed to the last iteration of the Z car (twinturbo, gizmo-galore, t-tops, back seat option, etc) which was designed to be the most technologically advanced, highest performance GT available for anything less than double or triple its price. That was never the goal with the 240 and certainly isnt the goal with the 350, and is the very heart of the reason why so many who love the Z32 dislike the Z33. And there's nothing traditional about T-tops, they were an early to mid-seventies' innovation of convenience that served as an alternative to targa tops. Traditional sportscar roof option would obviously be no roof and then targa roof.
